‘Learning How to Think – Exploring How to Do’

From our vast curriculum to the classrooms,
to the strength of each teacher, Westmont
encourages children to think for themselves, to discover,
question, build resilience, create, lead and collaborate, Westmont’s
thriving, nurturing environment leads to lifelong success
in academic, emotional, and social skills.

Welcome from the Head of School

Welcome to The Westmont Montessori School.  We are proud to be entering our 55th year as a premier early educational environment in the greater Mendham Chester community.   Founded by parents who wanted an alternative experience for their children, Westmont has kept their vision alive by offering the best Montessori experience possible to multiple generations of students.

Our school boasts dual accreditation granted by The American Montessori Society and Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.  These accreditations support Westmont’s quest for excellence by ensuring their high educational standards are continuously upheld.  Our teachers are Montessori Certified teachers who live their passion every day.

We are known as a family school, and believe in the important partnership between parents and school.  Our school is a community of parents, faculty, Board of Trustees, and administration dedicated to a common goal of providing the best early educational foundation to all of our children.  Our mission guides everything we do, and our decades of experience guarantee our stellar reputation as a school, and a home away from home.

I invite you to visit and see for yourself why you should be part of the Westmont community.   See what I see every day, see why our school is so successful and its reputation so strong.  You will witness an active and vibrant community of learners and teachers, leaders and peers, individuals and team players and experience capable people in the making.
