February Alumni Highlight – Sinclair Stevens
Sinclair has such fond memories of her time at Westmont. Some of her closest friends are classmates she met at Westmont and we still share close friendships with their families. Some of her favorite activities in the classroom included the scooping work, the bead chains, and painting (she brought home a painting almost daily!).
Sinclair is now 14 and is in her last year of Middle School. She plays soccer and basketball and loves anything having to do with music.
Kathleen Vespignani, Sinclair’s performing arts teacher, nominated her as one of the area students’ vocalist of the month for December. “As this is her third year in both vocal ensembles, I have seen Sinclair blossom into a magnificent musician and performer. She truly exemplifies what a great musician is,” Vespignani said.
Sinclair has been taking piano lessons since she was three and often plays piano solos at school concerts. She was chosen to play in the Russian Music Competition Piano Concert at Carnegie Hall for the past two years. She also plays percussion in the school band. She loves art and can usually be found drawing when she is not busy with school, soccer or her music activities.
