To Support the Jason K. Jacobs Scholarship Fund

Dear parents,

On Thursday, May 16 and Friday May 17 (same days as most Parent/Teacher conferences), we will be hosting a bake sale. All proceeds of this effort will go towards the Jason K. Jacobs Scholarship Fund.

We are asking for volunteers to make this fundraiser a success.  Opportunities to help are available in a variety of ways:

  • Bring in baked goods on Wednesday, May 15

  • Help price items on the afternoon of May 15

  • Selling between the hours of 8:00 am - 4:15 pm on Thursday and Friday, May 16 and 17

For those bringing in items, please be mindful that the school is nut-free.  Please read ingredient labels and refrain from using those that contain nuts, and/or may have traces of nuts or may be manufactured in a facility that processes nuts. We are also asking that you bring in a card listing all ingredients in your baked goods so they can be displayed for shoppers.

Know that every dollar raised is going to a wonderful cause.  Thank you in advance for your generous support. If you have any questions please feel free to contact the bake sale chairs, Vanessa Black, or Katie Fenstermaker,

To volunteer, please register on this SignUpGenius Link.

To learn more about the Jason K. Jacobs Scholarship Fund, please see below.

Jason Jacobs, a former Montessori student, wanted his daughter, Zoe, to enjoy the benefits of a Montessori education.  After his sudden death - during the September 11th terrorist attacks - his wife, Jennifer, established the Jason K. Jacobs Scholarship Fund as a way to honor her late husband and to help make attendance at Westmont possible for families who could not otherwise attend.  Since then, the Jason K. Jacobs Scholarship Fund has given qualifying families and their children the benefits of a Montessori education at Westmont.

Chester Food Pantry

Westmont is proud to support the Chester Food Pantry, helping close to 50 families in the Chester/Mendham area with monthly supplies of food and other necessary non-perishables. Over the years, each of our classrooms has come together to help. Canned foods, personal hygiene items, paper products, coffee, and tea are always appreciated.

Thank you to Ms. Lombardi's AM class and Mrs. Delguercio's Little Steps class for March's generous donations. Ms.Sullivan/Ms. Lombardi's class will be collecting for the month of April.
