Westmont Gives Back

Chester Food Pantry

Neighbor helping neighbor…with compassion and generosity, our families, faculty, and staff help to feed local families in need.  Classes collect non-perishable items all year long to meet the needs of our neighbors.

Preschool Advantage

We are honored to be a partner school with Preschool Advantage, since 2012.  Founded in 1995 with a goal to launch a lifetime of learning for children in our communities whose families are devoted to their education and who want their children to have the best possible start, but who cannot afford the cost of a quality preschool.”   Partnering with Preschool Advantage, supports Westmont’s strong belief in early childhood education for all.

Scholarship/Financial Support

Through tragedy, a gift.  We are proud to be able to offer, each academic year, need-based, partial scholarships/financial support in memory of Jason K. Jacobs.  Established in 2004 in memory of Jason K. Jacobs, who perished in the September 11, 2001 World Trade Center tragedy, the scholarship/financial support continues to assist families who may otherwise not be able to attend Westmont.  It was Jason’s strong belief in a Montessori education that steered his family to gift a scholarship/financial support in his memory.  Today, with this endowment, along with fundraising drives by our Westmont community, we continue his legacy.

For scholarship/financial support consideration or donations please contact                            Auris M. Vanderbilt, Assistant Head of School, or visit our Scholarship Page.

Students begin their journey early on and Westmont is pleased to support a number of their activities:  Mendham/Chester LAX, Mendham Little League, Randolph Little League, The Long Valley Soccer Club, Art of Dance, and West Morris Mendham Drama Club.

Holly Manor

December, a month traditionally busy with holiday celebrations, shopping, and gift giving, slows down a bit as the Westmont Kindergarten class enjoys visiting with the seniors at Holly Manor.  Holly Manor is a rehabilitation center for short and long term care in the heart of Mendham, NJ.  The children’s song performance and distribution of handmade holiday ornaments and gifts to the residents, provide a respite to the hustle and bustle of the season.

Community Support

Over the years, Westmont has participated and donated to a number of events, including Mendham’s 4th of July Parade, Tunes for Thomas – Valerie Fund, Pennies for Peace, the Appalachian Blanket Drive, and Mendham's Annual Harvest Hustle
